HISTORY

Founded in 1979 by senior boss Horst Grüner with 15 employees, company Grüner with its headquarters in Bad Überkingen-Hausen experienced a rapid upswing. Today the company, which is 100% family-owned, has about 1.000 employees at five company locations.

At this point we would like to give a brief overview of the company’s development:

1973
The brothers Horst and Hans Grüner founded a design office

1979
Building of the first production facility in Bad Überkingen-Hausen
Foundation of “Horst Grüner Maschinenbau” and beginning of construction of machining centres and manufacturing facilities

1997
Change of name to “Grüner Systemtechnik GmbH & Co. KG”

2001
Foundation of Grüner Hildburghausen GmbH in Thuringia

2006
Foundation of Grüner Produktions GmbH in Thuringia and start of building of 2nd production hall

2012
Groundbreaking of the new company location in Merklingen

2015
Opening of service and assembly centre in Laichingen

2016
Extension of the site in Hildburghausen

2017
Extension of the site in Merklingen (2nd hall)

2023
Extension of the site in Merklingen (3rd hall)
